Bishop Provenzano discusses future mission with clergy of the Flushing Deanery, January 20

Bishop Provenzano, right, at the recent Flushing Deanery gathering, discussed future mission strategies that will include a greater leadership role for clergy and congreations in diocesan deaneries in developing and supporting increased ministry in their local communities.  At the deanery luncheon, from the left, the Rev. Patrick Holtkamp,  the Rev. Laurence Byrne, Priest-in-Charge, All Saints', Bayside, who hosted the deanery meeting, the Very Rev. Dario Palasi, Flushing Dean, and the bishop.

The Flushing Deanery uniquely includes many diverse communities, with worship services in English, Spanish, and several Asian languages and dialects serving Filipinos, and Chinese from Hong Kong and mainland China.
